WHAT GETS TO YOU, SCAREDY CAT?
I’m not scared of anything…. okay, fine. I’m not scared per se, but I’m worried about the future. I don’t want to have to get an office job to support a family or any of that stuff. Being confined to an office is not my ideal situation. I’m also worried about winding up alone. I know I’m only twenty-three, but every time I go home to visit my family I get the whole ’why haven’t you brought a nice girl home?’ lecture.
WHAT’S YOUR DREAM COME TRUE?
I’d love to have my own business - I’m working as a chef at the moment, but having something of my own would be absolutely amazing!
WHAT ARE YOUR HABITS , GOOD AND BAD?
I’m really messy. It’s just I have a lot of stuff, and my apartment is really just littered with it all. It’s not disgusting stuff like mouldy food or boxers on the floor, I like to consider it all to be just clutter. I never really considered myself to stay here permanently, so it’s still like I haven’t unpacked properly - half my clothes are stored in boxes and I don’t have enough shelf space for some of my books so they’re just in piles around the place. I think it adds character, but I don’t think anyone would ever want to move in with me.
WHAT ABOUT PET PEEVES?
I hate it when people have to plan things to every tiny detail. I mean, just go with the flow! And I hate it when you go on a date and the girl just talks about herself the whole time. Finally, I think it’s stupid when people just live off their parents money. Money isn’t everything, get a job and just do it by yourself.
HOW STRONG ARE YOU?
Pretty hench, you know, you should see what I can bench press. Um, well I’d say my strengths are my sense of humour. I don’t really take anything too seriously, I’m a bit of a kid still. And I’d like to say I’m pretty witty. I think I’m a pretty decent guy as well. I’m not a jerk unnecessarily, and I’d say I treat girls pretty well too.
EVERYONE HAS A WEAKNESS ...
I guess my impulsiveness. I don’t tend to plan, just turn up and see what happens. Although that’s pretty fun, it means I don’t have a life plan or any of that stuff. And I’m pretty unorganised too.
Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely.
FAVORITE MOVIE?
Got to be the Hangover. Or, secretly, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, but that’s so lame I want to cry.
FAVORITE MEMBER OF NSYNC?
I wasn’t so much of an NSYNC kid. In England there was more of a Spice Girls hype. I loved Baby Spice though, if that counts.
FAVORITE FOOD?
Definitely Chinese food. Like spring rolls, chicken chow mein, fortune cookies and all.
FAVORITE TYPE OF BUBBLE GUM?
I don’t usually chew gum, but I love grape flavour.
FAVORITE COLOR?
Blue.
FAVORITE TV SHOW?
Two and a half men!
FAVORITE NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE?
Why would I drink anything non-alcoholic? Actually, I do drink a litre of orange a day, - my dentist hates me.
FAVORITE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE?
Beer any day. Although cocktails are pretty alright actually. Oh so manly.
FAVORITE TIME OF DAY?
Morning, definitely. I hate lying in, such a waste of a day.
FAVORITE HOLIDAY?
To Thailand with my girlfriend at the time. We were going on a gap year before university.
IDEAL DATE?
Not a dinner date! So forced and awkward! Maybe a picnic on the beach. Plus that way I could get the girl into her bikini…

His name’s Joshua Barlow, London born and bred, and a banker. He’s fifty-two. We get on so well, he’s jokes. I haven’t seen him for a while now though.
AND HIS BABY MOMMA?
My mother, Amelie, is pretty much my best friend. She’s forty-nine and works as a primary school teacher. She makes me phone her twice a week as she’s worried we’ll lose touch. She and my dad and sister are all still living in London.
WHAT ABOUT THOSE CRAZY SIBLINGS?
I have a seventeen year old sister called Millie. She’s studying her A-Levels in London, still living at home with my parents. She’s got to that age when she’s glad I live so far away since I can’t do the whole protective older brother thing. We’ve always been so close though.
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
London, England
WHAT'S YOUR LIFE STORY?
Blah blah blah, the beginning’s pretty boring. I was born in London, lived there my whole life and the plan was for me to go to university to study languages. But it all seemed so tied down, my girlfriend at the time, Polly, and I decided to go on a gap year. We went round Asia, backpacking and just experiencing something new. So anyway, it got to about July, and we were supposed to be returning to London to start university in September. But it just didn’t feel right. I didn’t really want to do a degree, and I wanted to see more of the world. We had an argument about it, she went back to England and I stayed. We’re friends now, but the relationship ended a long time ago. So I travelled round the US for a while, before settling down here when I was twenty, and I’ve been here ever since. I’m a chef in a restaurant at the moment, hoping someday I can run my own business.[/ul][/font]
