Noelle Joleigh Reeves Noelle Joleigh Reeves today was great. no, it was better that just great. it was wonderful. it was splendid. it was splendaciously wonderful. this week had been hard at the aquarium. yeah, it was probably one of the funnest things to be a dolphin trainer, but it came with hard work. there wasn't always a show going on, so she wasn't always in the dolphin cage, performing the tricks with them. no, she had to be in the big tanks with the fish, cleaning the glass and making sure they were all okay. it was fun sometimes, but no matter how many times she'd gone inside, the sharks scared the hell out of her whenever they swam by. the thing that had kept her most calm was the advice of one of the other workers. he told her she'd be better off staying calm or they'd chase her. yeah, she never once rushed past them in fear they would chase her.
the best part about when she had to dive into the tanks was seeing people's reactions. they liked to see people in there so they got excited when they did. well, today she was off. noelle was free to do whatever she wanted to do today. well, as long as she didn't stay out too late and drink. well...she figured if the situation came, one or two drinks wouldn't hurt. she just had to get good rest and stay sober since she had a performance in the morning. well, it wasn't like she drank much anyways, but you never knew. something may come up. since she wanted to relax more than anything, noelle put on her bathing suit and got ready for the beach.
she spend a few minutes on the phone, trying to see who was doing what today. when someone told her they were at the beach, she quickly replied with a single smiley face and pulled on a small sum dress to cover her bathing suit and grabbed her keys before heading out. the drive over there was nice. she rolled down the windows so the breeze was hitting her as she sped by the different cars, in a hurry to mess around with her friends before they finished for the day. she hadn't asked so she wasn't sure what they were doing or when they were finishing. and frankly, she didn't care. she was just looking for a good time.
noelle parked the in the closest spot she could find and put on her sunglasses. after grabbing her bag, she was out and looking for the others. she found them soon enough and went over, setting her stuff down. "so what's going on and how do i join in?" the aussie spoke, smiling to the others. the boys grinned and looks back to the other set of girls and guys a ways off. somehow, she'd got pulled in to playing some tag football. it wasn't as fun as she'd thought it would be. when they broke out for a bit, she walked away, very incomfortable with the many places she felt sand in her body. it was disgusting. she shook her arms, trying to get some of the sand off. good thing she'd taken off her dress before or there would have been more when it fell in and got stuck under the fabric.
"...i have sand in places sand should not be.." she mumbled, trying to make her way towards the small showers. she didnt want to move too fast since it felt gross whrn beads of sweat made it trail down her body. "...damnit..how did i end up playing football when i should have been sunbathing.."

a drop in the ocean, A change in the weather I was praying that you and me might end up together It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my heaven The bass pumped through the silver pick up, filling every empty space in the vehicle with the beat. The whole truck was pulsing. Ian's hands beat on the steering wheel to the rhythm of his blasting music. Smiling, he relentlessly belted out the lyrics as he weaved through the Orange County traffic, windows rolled down. People gave him questioning looks, but Ian continued to sing and bob his head at the strangers.
He was headed to the beach, alone. It hadn't been the plan, to go alone. His friend had backed out at the last second, and Ian was out of class, so he decided to trek there all by himself. It was a good opportunity to become more social. Perhaps he'd meet someone new and exciting. Ian couldn't remember the last time he'd been to the beach. He lived in Orange County, so there as no excuse to not go! He took having the ocean so conveniently nearby for granted. There was usually just no time to go fool around there.
Ian flopped his pick up into a parking space and killed the engine. Grabbing his towel and glasses, he wasted no time to hop out of the truck and lock it behind him. Today, he was sporting a pair of black and white swim trunks, sandles, a white tee and sunglasses. Pulling on the glasses, his eyes raked the premises in front of him. Where could he go? He searched for a cluster of attractive gals, and failed to find such a thing. Like most guys, Ian really only enjoyed the beach because of the ladies.
Instead of a clump of girls, Ian's eyes landed on a group of people running around with a football. That would be entertaining enough. Ian made his way across the scalding sand and laid out his towel at a fairly close spot to the footballers. Yawning, Ian slid his shirt over his head, revealing his rather chiseled body. He'd had to work for that. After he was diagnosed with leukemia and the treatment had made him so frail, he made a promise to himself that he'd never be that weak again. So far, he kept up his promise. Waking up every morning at 6:00 AM to work out was proving itself a good plan of action.
The football game once again caught Ian's attention. He watched in interest as an attractive brunette ran the football into the endzone. Nicely done. And then he heard her open her mouth, and his jaw dropped. Even nicer. She exited the game and brushed her body off. Her voice flowed out like delicious chocolate as she muttered something and walked by him. Ian was a sucker for accents.
Snapping his mouth shut, Ian turned and watched the girl head for the shower area. Hopefully she wasn't leaving for good. He debated on getting up and approaching her, but decided against it. If she ended up coming back, he promised himself that he'd say something. He wanted to hear her voice again. Ian took off the sunglasses and laid his head down, letting the sun cook his body.

Noelle Joleigh Reeves Noelle Joleigh Reeves noelle was struggling to hurry to the showers without the sand bothering too much. she walked and tried to let her mind wander elsewhere, not thinking of the sand trailing down the small of her back. it wasn't happening. at least, she wanted to believe it. nope, it was there. and it caused her to shiver slightly. yeah, she was not going to deal with this anymore. she began to hurry towards the shower, pouting when she saw there was two people in front of her. she smiled up to the guy and poked his arm, placing her hands together in a slightly begging manner.
"excuse me. would it be so terrible if i asked to cut in front of you? you see my friends are kinda waiting for me and..." she let the rest of her sentence trail off, knowing she wouldn't have to contnue. the guy looked at her, let his eyes trail over her body, and then smiled, stepping aside. just as he was about to say something, which she could figure out what, she stepped forward hurried into the shower when the person in front went in and out quickly.
she picked up her hair since she knew she'd be soaked if it got wet, tying it up with a small rubber band. at first, she just let the water hit her. most of the sand was able to be washed away like that. soon after, she just rubbed her arms and bent down to rub some of the leftover off her legs. she wasn't aiming to get everything off, just enough so she wouldn't feel it everytime she stepped. she finished and let her red locks fall from its bun, walking back towards the area she'd been at.
the small red head blinked when she saw something behind her and peeked out the side of her eye. she should have figured. it was the guy from the showers. maybe she shouldn't have used charm to worm her way in front of him. nonetheless, she came to have fun and not have some guy out of her league follow her around. quickly, she looked forward, pretending as she didn't notice him. she wasn't in the mood for rejecting anyone at the moment. there were others ways to handle this. she scouted for an opening, knowing there had to be one somewhere close by.
her eyes went from side to side, looking. a bright smile curved her lips upwards when she found the perfect target. she began to skip over to a boy who seemed to be sunbathing and sat down beside him, smiling down to him. "hey babe, sorry i took so long...can I borrow your towel?" she made him a face, hoping he'd go along with her little act. well, she did need a towel, but she could ask that later. she motioned to the guy a little ways off, hoping he got what was going on without having to say it out loud. she looked towards the side when she saw the guy beginning to walk away and laughed, looking back down at the guy. "sorry about that, but you were the only person close enough. i'm noelle." she extended her hand to him. it may not be the way you usually met people, but noelle never liked being like everyone else.

a drop in the ocean, A change in the weather I was praying that you and me might end up together It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my heaven The sun was so warm and soothing that it began to put Ian to sleep, despite the sweat beginning to form on his body. It was a bit warm for sleep, and he knew that he would wake up looking like a lobster, but he couldn't help it. His eyes slid shut and he shifted his arm over the top of his face to make a dark wall between himself and the sunshine. The sounds of the ocean waves were not helping Ian win the battle to stay awake. Okay, five minutes. He thought, and let the wave of sleep spread through his body.
Five minutes, his ass. About thirty seconds after he got relaxed, a voice appeared at his side. "Hey babe, sorry i took so long... Can I borrow your towel?" Startled, Ian sprung up. He rubbed his tired eyes, and squinted at the source of the voice. To his surprise, he found himself eye to eye with the attractive football girl he'd been watching. Her hair wasn't brown after all, it seemed to be a more reddish color. It looked rather soft, and he realized that in the back of his mind, he wanted to reach out and touch it. Shaking his head, Ian regained focus and concentrated on what she had just said. Babe? Towel? He thought. Then, Ian caught the look in her eyes and followed her gesture to a strange looking man standing fairly nearby.
"Right. Uh. Did you get me a drink, like I asked? And.. Towel. I'm sitting on it. I'll give it to you in a sec." Ian shined his best fake smile to the girl. He was fine with being an out for her. It made his promise to himself that he'd talk to her much easier. Out of his peripherals, he watched the creeper move along on his way. Then, she smiled and apologized for the situation while introducing herself as Noelle.
Ian smiled and shook her hand. "That's quite alright. You only disturbed my wonderful nap." He said sarcastically. Quickly, Ian checked the girl out. She was even more attractive up close. "Oh, and my name's Ian." He added.
Ian noticed that she wasn't carrying anything with her. Perhaps the towel bit had been true. "Do you really want this? Here."Ian whipped the towel from under his butt a bit too forcefully, and accidentally flung it into the air, spraying sand everywhere. Including onto Noelle. He paused, waiting for her to yell at him. Instinctively, Ian stuck his hand out and began to wipe around her collar bone and shoulder, where the sand had stuck. "Shit! I'm so sorry! You just cleaned off, too. My bad."

Noelle Joleigh Reeves Noelle Joleigh Reeves much to her relief, the boy she'd chosen had gone along with her little act. the time it took him to catch on had felt like such a long time, but hadn't been but a mere few seconds. She'd been worried that out of all the people she could have escaped to, he would be the only one that wouldn't understand what she was trying to do. but he had, and she was eternally grateful for it. when he brought up a drink, she looks around, as if a drink would just appear out of nowhere. which, wouldn't of course, but it was worth the try.
noelle nodded her head and winced when he said that she'd disturbed his nap. "sorry." she ducked her head a bit and pushed some of her hair behind her ear, raising a brow when she saw his eyes look her over. she didn't mind much, especially since he was definitely attractive. she even let her own eyes trail over his toned body, looking back up to him with a smile when he gave her his name. "ian...well, it's a pleasure to meet you ian. and thank you. for what you did, i mean. i didn't know who else to go to." she laughed quietly and shifted on the ground slightly, looking around. she narrowed her eyes towards her group of friends, contemplating whether or not she should go back to them. she was really not into the mood to play again.
she turned back to ian when he he spoke up, blinking and lookind down at the towel when he reached for it. "actually, i can go and get one from my ca-" before she could finish, he'd sprung it out from under him and sand had some flying towards her. she shut her eyes and let out a small gasp, inching back a little bit as if she'd be able to move away from it. she opened her eyes and looked at ian, trying to take in what had just happened. she looked down at herself, looking at the sand now sprayed over her body.
her head whipped up when suddenly ian began to clean her. in a matter of seconds, she began to laugh. she couldn't help it; it just started to come out. she shook her head and her hand came to her stomach, finding the turn of events quite entertaining. she grabbed his hand that had been cleaning her and smiled to him, letting the last of her giggles out. "it's okay, ian. don't worry so much." she placed his hand by his side and stood up, dusting the sand off her body. she looked at him and offered her hand. "give me an excuse to not have to play football again and i'll forget that ever happened." she glanced towards her things then back to ian, smiling as she awaited his response. a drink or small snack sounded good about. even a walk would be fine.

a drop in the ocean, A change in the weather I was praying that you and me might end up together It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my heaven He laughed when Noelle apologized for interrupting his nap. Ian eyed her as she shyly tucked her hair behind her ear. That was damn cute. "Hakuna matata. I'd just laid down when you came over, I wasn't even asleep." The girl thanked him for his kind deed. He really hadn't done anything. Ian just happened to be the only alone, young male who had been laying nearby when she needed help. "Sure, sure. I'm always available to help a maiden in distress," He replied with a chuckle. "But really, why didn't you go to that guy instead?" Ian pointed to a spot a couple towels away, where a large man in a speedo snored away. His body hair was dark and absolutely everywhere. The poor guy was a disturbing sight, really."I, for one, am liking the chest hair." Ian commented.
He noticed that she glanced back to her group that was still flopping the football around. Would she go join them again? As she turned back to him, he could tell by the look on her face that she'd rather not go over there. Good. Ian liked that decision.
When he flung the sand on her, she didn't flip out. Thank God. Though he was expecting the typical girly shriek and anger, she was very chill about it. She told him not to worry about it and removed his hand from her skin. Oops. Had she found that creepy? "Sorry. That was instinct. I wasn't trying to cop a feel." Ian laughed and hoped she didn't mind.
He watched as she got to her feet. Had he made her uncomfortable? Was she leaving? Then, she outstretched her hand for him to take. Ian looked at it questioningly. "Give me an excuse to not have to play football again and i'll forget that ever happened." She prompted. Ah, so she wasn't ditching him. In fact, she was doing the opposite and inviting him along with her. Happily, Ian grabbed her hand and stood up beside Noelle. He was a good amount taller than the girl. Taking that fact to his advantage, he propped his arm on top of her head, acting as though she was an arm rest.
"Hm. What to do, what to do..." Ian pondered aloud. "You hungry? We could grab a bite to eat or something. Or we could... Go up to the boardwalk and ride some rides? Or, build a sandcastle? Or simply just sit and chat. Whatever you want. Or am I supposed to choose?" Ian rambled. Hopefully Noelle didn't mind his constant running mouth. He was guessing that since he splattered sand all over her body, he would be the one deciding what they do.
"Okay, well.. Let's start with something to eat, I guess." He suggested. "Oh, sorry."Ian removed his arm from her head. He'd forgotten it was there. Ian studied the girl's face, awaiting a reply.

Noelle Joleigh Reeves Noelle Joleigh Reeves noelle rose her brow, amused when he quoted lion king. not so much because it was weird, but because she didn't really expect it. for one thing, now she was singing it at the back of her mind now. she nodded and tilted her head to look at the guy who ian was pointing to her eyes widening barely at how carefree the man was there. she brought up a hand to her mouth and laughed, shaking her head. she shrugged and turned back to look at ian, making her face a bit more serious. "i'm starting to regret coming to you, now. maybe i should go over there and see if he is willing to save a damsel in distress. would you like to play the creeper and help me out?"
after she had moved his hand away and he apologized, she shook her head. "oh, i just didn't want you to worry." when he brought up copping a feel, she rose her brows, surprised he'd said that so easily. he was fun to talk to. "oh? isn't that too bad, then?" she didn't mind since she understood what he had been aiming for. she could tell he had felt bad getting her dirty with sand. now that she thought of it, he had mentioned her just getting cleaned again. she looked up at him, wondering if he'd seen her before when she was practically drowned in sand. she flushed a little, slightly embarrassed she'd been noticed in that state.
she waited, looking down at him when her hand was taken. there were two things that could happen. he would decline and she would politely say her goodbye and return to her friends. she'd ask to just be a cheerleader this time, though. or, he would take her hand and she would be abel to enjoy his company. she enjoyed meeting new people since she tended to only hang out with the little people she did know and she wanted to expand her group of friends. she leaned on the back of her heels when he took her hand, smiling as she attempted to pull him up. she was rather small and figured he could get up on his own, but that didn't stop her from helping. she released his hand and the next second, something propped up on her head.
blinking, she looked up to him, pouting her lips slightly when she realized that she was being used as an arm rest. she knew she was small, but still. she kinda just looked at him, wondering when he would remove his arm. she laughed and shook her head when he just went on, coming up with different things they could go and do. she had just been about to step aside so she could get out from under his arm when he moved it away. he'd actually forgotten. "it's good to know that i'm comfy." she spoke with an ounce of sarcasm.
looking at him, she pursed her lips, considering his different options. "hold that thought, okay?" she turned and hurried over to her friends, telling them a few things and then going to grab her bag before coming back over towards ian. she pulled out her shoes and slipped them on, smiling and looking back up to him once done. "i was sort of hoping to go somewhere with hot stuff over there," she motioned the the speedo guy he'd brought up earlier, "but i suppose you'll do. a snack sounds perfect right now. then maybe we can go see what's at the boardwalk?"

a drop in the ocean, A change in the weather I was praying that you and me might end up together It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my heaven Ian was glad to make Noelle laugh. She had her face in her hands, shaking her head about the hairy, sleeping man nearby. When she voiced her suggestion, Ian snorted. He pictured the scene playing out. The thought made him laugh even harder. "Oh? Is that what you asked the other man, too? You saw me laying over here and wanted a reason to come talk to me... So you asked the other creeper the same favor. It all makes perfect sense now." Ian joked. He knew that wasn't true, though.
The redhead raised her brows when he mentioned copping a feel. Would she rather he did? Was it a playful eyebrow raise, or a creeped out one? "Oh? isn't that too bad, then?" The girl prompted, in her delicious accent. It had been a playful eyebrow raise, then. Or was she being sarcastic, like he had been about his nap? Ian took a moment and let her voice soak into his mind. For some reason, he couldn't get over her accent. He must be very attracted to accents. It was sexy as hell. Ian blinked. He didn't really know how to respond to her question."I guess it is too bad."
Now his mind was reeling. What was this girl trying to do to him? Drive him insane with good looks? If she was trying to get him to picture her naked, it was working. His eyes wandered over the edges of her bikini, then back up to her face. Control yourself. He thought, snapping out of whatever daydream he was in. Ian may be a sweet heart, but he was still a dude. He couldn't help himself sometimes. Especially when a cute redheaded Australian was in front of him.
So there they were, Ian standing with his arm atop the red hair of Noelle. He noticed her expression change into a puppy face pout, and he laughed. A note of sarcasm stuck out in her next comment. "Yeah, you are rather comfy. Perfect height for my leisurely use. Come live at my house so that I can whip you out when I need something to lean on." He pictured opening his living room closet and finding Noelle stored inside. He could pull her out of there and set her in the center, then throw a party. People would set their drinks on her head. What the hell? Why was he having too much fun with that thought? Ian's face twisted into a "wtf" expression, and he chuckled.
Moving on from his strange thoughts, Ian hadn't noticed that Noelle had left. Confused, he searched around. Where'd she go? Did she ditch him? Ian couldn't spot her anywhere. Damn. He thought, and dug his foot into the sand. Well, now what was he going to do? Sit back down by himself? Guess so. As Ian was bending to sit down, Noelle appeared suddenly, items in hand. Ah. So she had went and got her things. Makes perfect sense. Ian stood back up straight and watched her put on her shoes. He decided to do the same, and slipped on his sandles.
Noelle's comment about "hot stuff" nearly made him choke on his saliva. "Haha, stop. You're busting my 'nads." Ian laughed. Noelle suggested a snack then the boardwalk. In agreement, Ian nodded. "Then a snack, it is." He declared.
What could they possibly snack on? His eyes searched the upper beach for a snack shack. There were some strange booths up further. Ian didn't want to go all cliche and just get ice cream. What could he buy her? He gave a head nod motioning for Noelle to accompany him to the shacks, and began to walk. As they got closer, he saw options."Alright, I'm going to take a stab in the dark here, and guess that you probably don't want a deep fried sea cucumber. So that narrows it down to..." Ian scanned the choices. "Funnel cake, a smoothie or cheesecake."
He glanced at the girl. "Or we could go take some shots." Ian winked. He was half-joking about that. It wasn't a bad idea, really.

Noelle Joleigh Reeves Noelle Joleigh Reeves noelle looked up to ian, her eyebrows shooting up when he brought up that she must have planned this whole meeting between her and him. she just shook her head, laughing as he continued to speak of the arrangement and how she planned it all out. she shrugged and rose her hands up as if saying she'd been caught. "you got me. i was hoping you wouldn't, but...guess i kinda suck at being an actor, hm? i was really after your towel. i just couldn't keep my eyes off of it. but...not everything is meant to be, i guess."
when he repeated what she said about it being too bad, she just rolled her eyes playfully and smiled. it got quiet for a moment and she bit her lip when she saw him looking over her body once more. she could feel her face burn up just the tiniest bit. when guys looked her over and she noticed, she was either drunk or too caught up in something else to notice. but when it was quiet, she felt a little insecure. when he looked back at her, she just smiled like she hadn't noticed and tilted her head slightly to the side. she'd stolen glances at him too, so it wasn't like it was all that bad of a thing.
noelle reached her hand up and patted the top of her hair, taming the small strands that had gone awry when he moved his arm away from her. it would be a total fai if she walked around with hairs sticking out all over the place. she needed a mirror. she pursed her lips. she didn't have one, so she hoped ian was a good enough guy to tell her if her hair looked bad or not. she was finishing up when he began to talk about how she would be perfect to use. one of her eyebrows perked over the other as he spoke. she laughed and shook her head when he mentioned her being around the house. she saw his face, guessing the mental picture for him was odd too and nodded, fully agreeing. "my thoughts exactly."
hearing ian's reaction at her comment of the earlier guy, she smiled, giggling under her breath. he was definitely a charmer and even more when he laughed. she was very glad she had come and asked him for help rather than anyone else around. somehow, she sensed she'd have a good time. or maybe she was just hoping for it. either way, it was going good thus far. she glanced back over to her friends who were getting ready to play again, some of them looking over at her. probably wondering why she quit and what she was doing.
as he looked around to take the different options in consideration, she slipped her beach bag on her and swatted some of the little dirt she could still see. as long as she wasn't practically burried in it like she had been earlier, she didn't really mind it. she looked back up and flipped her hair out of her face, scrunching her face up when he mentioned the cumcumber. somehow, the mental picture she got of that was just not an appetizing one. the only tiem she ever even got cucumbers was when she was in the mood for a facial. "nice stab." she commented. although, she was a bit curious about what it tasted like in actuality. most likely when she had nothing to do, she'd get one and give it a go.
he didn't even have to continue going on after his first choice. the funnel cake nearly made her mouth water. even thought she hadn't favored the fried cucumber, she was a sucker for fried food. in moderation, of course. and then he brought up a smoothie. hot damn, that sounded amazing to have with the funnel cake. at cheesecake, he had her. she had no idae what to choose. then he'd brought up shots. she shook her head and smiled up to him. "couldn't you throw in some bad choices in there? you know, make it a bit easier to choose." she smiled and placed her hands on her hips, rocking back and forth on her heels as she weighed her options.
she sighed and hung her head low at her decision before looking back up to him and nodding. "i'm gonna have to go with shots. the food sounds so good, but i've been craving a drink so bad." she pointed at him and bit her lip. "but, under one condition. you've got to make sure i stop after a few. i work in the morning." she stayed serious for a moment, but smiled a little mischievously and laughed. "lead the way." she began to walk along with him, humming a small tune as she walked with a hop in her step excitedly. "how old are you, ian?" she turned, trying to guess his age. she was usually pretty good at it.
